To all you bakers out there, I am asking for help in identifying my mystery recipe. I thought about baking it and seeing what turns out but have no idea what kind of tin to use. The inclusion of cocoa rules out it being my sister-in-law's sponge recipe. Given the relatively short cooking time, and the quantity of ingredients, I'm guessing it might be for brownies, cookies or a slice. Google hasn't really helped. (It's unlikely to be cake, right?)
Mystery recipe

Well, whatever it is it sounds really delicious! Once you find out what it is, please tell me :)
I'm becoming cooking/baking obsessed lately!
Could be a recipe for a basic kind of chocolate sponge? Make it and see what happens? Could be a very, very basic (and perhaps dry and not very chocolatey) chocolate cake.
Sounds like a basic chocolate cupcake recipe ~ perhaps from your cupcake decorating course?
My first thought would be some variant on pound cake - given the equal weights of sugar, butter, and flour. I say you just bake it and share the results!
OK, so I tried baking the Mystery Recipe tonight. Looking at the mixture, I thought it might be some sort of brownie - it was too thick (and small) for cake or cupcakes and nothing like cookies. I put it in a slice tin and hoped for the best. The result? Nothing to write home about - a flat brownie-ish cake with kind of a non-descript flavour. We had it heated with ice cream. No complaints! :-)
Hi, this is a basic cupcake recipe, I make them all the time, they turn out perfect! Makes 12 cupcakes :)

Thanks, Elly - the more I think about it, the more it makes sense for this to be a cupcake recipe. I should really try it again (as cupcakes this time) and see how it turns out. Cheers.
