This article from The Register describes a toaster that’s able to burn pretty much anything onto your morning slice, including the news. Called the Scan Toaster, it connects to a PC over USB and downloads everything from local weather conditions and the current time to the morning’s news headlines which it then toasts onto your bread.
I live in Wellington, New Zealand. I love being surrounded by a good coffee culture and have proud weka roots. I enjoy this city's vibrant café scene and was formerly known as Café Chick. I'm into reading, music, baking, dancing, family, eating out with friends, travel and sunshine, so that's what you'll hear about along with whatever else takes my fancy. haha, that's so neat! i have no doubt someone will find a way to put paid advertising on toast.
oh, i did a search online for others and stumbled across a cylon toaster that was specifically made for battlestar gallactica for Comic-Con this past July. cool stuff!
Nothing like "reading your toast" in the morning. "Honey, where's the morning paper"... "Oh I'm sorry, I ate it for breakfast!"
